What the app adds

  • Same Saga, same accountSign in with Argo ID. Writing, worlds, the graph and sync work exactly as on the web.
  • Saga updates by itselfNew Saga versions reach the app like the website. The app only needs updating for Android changes, and it offers those itself.
  • Back buttonCloses a dialog or panel, then goes back a screen, then leaves.
  • Backups on your phoneDownload a backup with Android’s Save screen, restore with its file picker, or open a backup sent in WhatsApp or Gmail.
  • Share a sceneSend a scene’s text to WhatsApp, Gmail or Hermes from the scene inspector.
  • Fits the phoneThe keyboard never covers your writing, the bars follow your theme and text follows your phone’s text size.

Install

  1. Tap Download Saga on your Android phone.
  2. Open the file. If Android asks, allow Install unknown apps for your browser or Files app, then tap Install.
  3. Open Saga, tap Sign in with Argo ID, then type your password once more to unlock your stories on this phone.

Updates

Saga itself updates on its own. When the Android app has a new version, Saga offers it and Android asks before installing; your stories and sign-in stay. Every version is signed with the same key, and Android refuses an update that isn’t. The key’s SHA-256 fingerprint:

Privacy

Your stories are encrypted on the phone before they sync; the server keeps only scrambled text. The app asks for no permissions beyond the internet, and only reaches a file when you pick it, share it or open it with Saga.
